Stacey Beatson is a personal stylist, image consultant, fashion advisor and personal shopper. She is also a personal stylist trainer, workshop educator, brand ambassador, content creator and social media influencer. While Stacey is based in Auckland, she travels regularly throughout New Zealand and also internationally to consult with her clientele.

The Making Of An Image Stylist

Before becoming a full time stylist and image consultant in 2004, Stacey was a professional hair and makeup artist, as well as Technical Manager for L’Oreal Paris in New Zealand. The transition from hair, beauty and fashion styling to personal styling was very natural, as she had a desire to share her knowledge in a more intimate and meaningful way.

During her career, Stacey has been involved with book covers, fashion shoots, magazine articles, political campaigns and industry conferences, often collaborating with other experts. The insights she gathers during her special projects filters through to her personal styling clients, who see her as a resource for a stylish life. She is passionate about setting her clients up to win in their lives and achieve their dreams.

“The business of style, beauty and fashion can be serious and a little bit of a minefield, so I try to navigate through with grace and humour. Over the years of working as a stylist, I have found that there is a stylist for everyone – and I find myself attracting those who have a similar love of life and style. Stacey’s reach, within New Zealand and internationally, extends beyond one-on-one sessions to group styling workshops and event design. Her corporate clients include Price Waterhouse Cooper, Air New Zealand and Harcourts Real Estate, to name just a few. Stacey has also held image workshops for the New Zealand Government and presented for the Breast Cancer Foundation. In recent years, Stacey has enjoyed hosting styling workshops for small groups in private homes and restaurants, where she can share her wisdom in a more intimate environment.

With her distinct eye for design, she has styled many events, including weddings and other life milestones. Stacey is adept at coordinating the visual aspects and atmosphere of an event to create a simply beautiful occasion and make the planning process smoother for all concerned.

Clients also call on Stacey to help them with interior styling, because the principles of personal styling can also be applied to any indoor or outdoor environment.

Stacey is a member of the Association of Image Consultants International and has been an executive member of the New Zealand Federation of Image Consultants. Additionally, Stacey has trained with numerous internationally-recognised organisations, including Colour Me Beautiful, The Australian Image Academy, The International Image Institute, Colour Designers International, Image Innovators, Jan Fisher, Susanne Parsons and Colour by Rochelle (in the Susan Caygill Method).

At every stage of her life, Stacey continuously updates and enhances her technical skills. This dedication, combined with a natural curiosity and passion for beauty and style, has ensured her services remain relevant.
